The electronics are working and the guitar is a really good playing guitar and this is a piece of history being from the aluminum neck usa Applause series that Ovation was making in the late 1970's. The frets are in good shape still as well. The reason there is not a pic in the listing is due to only having 12 pictures to use and wanting to highlight some other spots.

The bridge is also slightly lifting. This also has surface cracking at the bridge which virtually all Ovation guitars seem to be notorious for.

That is a plus in a way because now this is an acoustic electric guitar, but it does now have a hole that is not original. There is also a good deal of surface scratching which pic 6 shows pretty well in the lighting. That is not affecting the action at all because this guitar has low action. However the cracking is isolated around the bridge and there are only a few surface cracks pics 5 and 6 show a couple of examples.

The body has a black finish with a white rosette and w b w b w binding around the top. This is definitely not something worth looking over just because of a couple of missing pictures, all defects cosmetic or otherwise have been noted in the and I am more than happy to elaborate with any pictures necessary. This also includes a hard shell case that is in OK condition but the latches, hinges and handle are all strong and the interior lining on the top is gone but 3 pieces of foam keep the guitar stable on the inside.

The aluminum neck is what makes this guitar special, there are not a lot of these floating around in any condition and this truly is a great playing guitar with no high action or buzzing anywhere on the fret board. This was originally made to be acoustic only but at some point electronics were added which required an input jack be installed at the base of the body which is also serving as an end pin pic 's made in usa Applause by Ovation steel neck guitar with added electronics that required a hole to be drilled at the bottom of the body of the guitar.
